Major in Geography – Bachelor of Arts

Geography is a problem-focussed and field-based discipline. It combines theory and evidence to explain the economic, environmental and political processes that shape the world around us.

Geography subjects at the University of Melbourne provide you with a specialist understanding of contemporary social and environmental issues, with a focus on Australia and the Asia-Pacific region. Topics studied include: climate change, cultural change and diversity, economic changes and poverty, environmental politics, human mobility, natural hazards, sustainable cities, and sustainable development.

Course Structure
