So you want to be an academic, but what is a career in academia like, and how can you get started while still doing your PhD? In the session, you will have the opportunity to hear from a panel of academics from a range of disciplines with established careers. They will talk about their own careers, the experience of working as an academic and provide some tips about how to prepare for a career in academia.

In 2013 the University of Melbourne’s Burnley Campus is celebrating the 150th year of its historic gardens. To celebrate this anniversary, we are holding four one-day symposia exploring contemporary issues in urban landscapes. Edible Landscapes in June will be followed up by Green Roofs and Walls in July, Contemporary Planting Design in September and Garden Landscapes in November.

Through the Grad-Link program, Rimfire Resources assesses all students who apply to the program and then through a selection process, invites students to attend a presentation day in Melbourne in August where they will hear presentations and have the opportunity to interact with a selective group of agribusiness organisations looking to hire graduates.
